HubSpot’s annual INBOUND conference (and Partner Day at INBOUND) is something that we at adWhite look forward to every year. We usually attend the entire week from start to finish, but sometimes life gets in the way, and that’s exactly what it did to me this year. When I couldn’t secure childcare for the entire week of the conference, we decided that I would make a quick trip to Boston to experience Partner Day and Day 1 of INBOUND, before heading back home to my family (shout out to Taylor - World’s Best Boss - for understanding).
People from all over the world attend INBOUND to learn about the latest and greatest tips, tricks and developments within HubSpot and the inbound marketing methodology that they’re known for. My time at INBOUND was short but sweet; I was only there for 2 days, but I soaked in as much as I possibly could.
On the flight home I reflected on my INBOUND experience this year and here are some of the key parts that stood out to me:
New Elite Partner Level. HubSpot is making some significant changes in their partner program, one of the largest being the new Elite level partner. Elite level partners will be the biggest and the best. These agencies will manage more clients and have a deeper knowledge of the entire software suite.
Facebook Post Boosting. HubSpot is adding Facebook social post boosting into the HubSpot social tool. This is only in beta for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise right now, but I’m hoping it receives good feedback and is eventually pushed out to everyone because YASSS (I do a lot of Facebook post boosting if you can’t tell).
Native Facebook Lead Ad Creation. With this tool you can create your own ad within HubSpot. They claim it has a “clearly defined” creation process and I believe it - HubSpot puts a lot of effort into user feedback and updating their tools to be user friendly and universally liked. This update is now live and available to all HubSpot users, and I can’t wait to use it!
More Certifications. HubSpot is slowly and steadily adding new certifications to HubSpot Academy, and I heard a lot of talk about the importance of these certifications at Partner Day. As a HubSpot Platinum Partner Agency it’s both important and beneficial that we continue our HubSpot education by taking these certification courses to stay up-to-date. adWhite has always seen the value of earning certifications, which is why we have a designated Certification Day in the office. Partner Day just reinforced that we’re on the right path and should keep on keepin’ on.
Video Content is All the Rage (Still). Videos have been the leading lady of digital content for few years now, and that will stay the same as we move into 2020. If you aren't using video as content, you need to start ASAP!
Grow Better. All businesses want to grow, but we need to grow better. And what makes us grow better? The success and happiness of our clients. Our focus should be on doing what's best for our clients regardless of how hard it is, because our success as an agency can be found in the success of our clients.
Inbound was short, but it was sweet. I look forward to returning again next year!
